Announcing a new version of MatchLogon software with Windows Active Directory support.

A new version of MatchLogon that is fully integrated with Microsoft Windows Active Directory has been released. This new version enables user authentication data to be managed, stored and replicated in the most efficient and secure manner. MatchLogon's administration tools are natively integrated into the existing Active Directory administration via MMC plug-ins. Any need to use external databases has been eliminated.

The solution provides the freedom of selecting the most suitable authentication method from a variety of technologies and third-party products. MatchLogon allows the customer to "plug-and-play" biometric authentication modules without the need to change or upgrade the MatchLogon software itself. This is possible because of built-in support for the international biometrics standard - BioAPI.

Active Directory is required for this new version. However users of the "older" Windows NT domains can still use the previous version - MatchLogon 2.1.

One more biometrics fingerprint scanner was added to the MatchLogon list of supported authentication hardware. Now MatchLogon Customers can use Eutron MagicSecure 2000/3000 fingerprint readers along with BioLink U-Match units, USB tokens and smartcards.

The next authentication hardware, which is going to be supported in MatchLogon near future is Dallas iButton. Simplicity and popularity of this one-factor authentication technology will allow our Customers to build very cost-effective and reliable solutions and use iButton in those areas, where the are less strict authentication requirements.
